Hhhmmm...... actually this was more of a training rather than punishment.

A lot of martial arts use punishment as training and training as punishment. Its more along the lines of restricting freedom until the task is done. Both as a way to train discipline as well as impose humility. Often it doesn't work, but when done properly it does help.

I think MC have lost his mind the more he make friends with strangers the more they will get hurt and will become a target.He is focusing on everyone in his friend group even buying pills and weapons for them and now few episodes back he had a baggage a girl who came in his way multiple times now he found another stranger girl and now he took one as his disciple.He is doing every fuck up instead of focusing on his strength
